Shadow in the Sun

Shadow in the Sun is a metaphorical analysis of the vicious cycle of racism seen through the eyes of two young girls. Eve, must find her way through the hardships of history and discover her own moral compass along the way. Jenny, facing the obstacles of our current time, inevitably discovers what it truly means to find independence through adversity. The story's antagonists, Mr. Phare Roh and Principal Drumpf, ultimately orchestrate the immeasurable cycle of bigotry our communities have been plagued with since the beginning of time. Shadow in the Sun takes the reader on an exploratory adventure that will leave them questioning their own value and ultimately uncover the subconscious prejudice society has placed on our minds. Shadow in the Sun is a fight for mental and physical survival that proves the battle of equality may never end, or does it?
